What is the difference between Whole-Home and Partial-Home Mass Save rebates?
A Whole-Home heat pump rebate is designed to serve as the sole or primary heating source for the home, qualifying for up to $8,500 (standard) or up to $16,000 (enhanced income tier). Partial-Home rebates are designed for supplemental mini-splits or zoned additions and are paid out at $1,125 per ton of cooling/heating capacity. Do I have to do a Mass Save Home Energy Assessment first?
Yes, Mass Save requires a Home Energy Assessment (conducted at no-cost) to unlock whole-home heat pump rebates and 0% HEAT loan financing. If you haven't had one yet, Brian can help you schedule it and ensure your equipment quote is coordinated with the Mass Save inspection.
How does the 0% HEAT Loan work?
The HEAT Loan provides up to $25,000 in financing at 0% APR for up to 7 years (84 months) through participating banks and credit unions across Massachusetts. Aquion provides the completed HEAT Loan Intake Form and itemized proposal required by the lender.
Do heat pumps really keep New England homes warm in freezing sub-zero weather?
